Who will own the new Greater Moncton building and the new building extension in Kent?

The Violence Prevention Centre and Boreal will own and manage the new infrastructure.

Are the federal and provincial governments involved in the project?

We have established a working methodology and relationship with the federal and provincial governments. We are committed to working proactively with the federal and provincial governments until this project is completed.

Will the Violence Prevention Centre and Boreal remain open until the official opening of the new Greater Moncton building and the new building extension in Kent?

Yes, both centers are committed to staying open during construction.

Who will be responsible for donations collected prior to the purchase and the start of construction?

The campaign office will be responsible for the donations received. They will be deposited in a separate bank account in a reserve fund for the purchase of the new building and for the construction of the building extension.

When are the official openings of the new building in Greater Moncton and the new building extension in Kent?

The new facilities are scheduled to open in 2023.

Will the donors receive a tax receipt?

Yes, all donors will receive a tax receipt. These will be mailed annually.

Are there any tax advantages for donors?

Yes, tax credits are available for individuals and corporations (see attached table).

Which construction type will be considered?

The Centre will strive to minimize the environmental impact during the construction of the new building extension in Kent county.
